1. How does this work? Each of the web stores listed on this site participate in an
affiliate program. This program pays websites for bringing them customers.
When you click on a web store, there is a link with an electronic code from
a third party company that follows your click to each web store. If a
purchase is made, the third party company registers the sale under
www.militarycharitymall.com and a commission is paid.
The amount of the commissions vary by store ranging from 2-20%.
Commissions are paid either monthly, quarterly or when a certain amount due
is reached.
2. Can I get an IRS deduction for my purchases?
No, Military Charity Mall does not have the capability
to monitor each sale and provide the purchaser with the amount of commission
paid. We do not receive any information on the purchaser at all.
We will know only that a sale was made, the amount of the sale and the
commission on that sale.
3. Do I have to come to
www.MilitaryCharityMall.com each
time I make a purchase? The answer to this question is
difficult. When a person clicks on a store from Military Charity Mall,
a cookie or electronic signature is left on the persons computer. These
cookies vary in length from 1 day to 6 months. If you go back to the store
within this time frame, the store will recognize you as a customer from
Military Charity Mall. If not within the time frame, Military Charity Mall
will not get credit. The only way to ensure that Military Charity Mall
gets credit for your purchase is to go to
www.MilitaryCharityMall.com and
start your shopping from there.
4. Can I designate which military charity my purchase
will help? No, we have no way of tracking customer
information so we cannot do this.
5. How are the funds generated by Military Charity Mall
divided? The commissions will be divided equally among
the charities we are supporting. Currently, the Wounded Warrior Project and
the Children of Fallen Soldiers Relief Fund will split the proceeds equally.
In the future we will be adding additional charities and again supporting
them equally.
6. What percentage of the commissions are donated to
charities? All of the commissions generated minus
expenses to run the website will be donated. Our expenses are
anticipated to be less than 10% of the total commissions but since the site
just came online, we have not received any commissions yet. |
